The Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library is seeking a Circulation Assistant to join our team. This is a part time position providing dependable and courteous service at the Circulation Desk, while supporting the library’s vision to be the welcoming heart of the community where all come to learn, discover, create, and connect. The position will check materials in and out, assist with self-check machines and account questions, and provide basic information to patrons.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Checks materials in and out.
- Verifies registration information, fines and other charges.
- Answers customer account questions.
- Retrieves requested materials from stacks.
- Empties book drops and book bins.
- Directs the work of the Pages (shelvers) as needed.
- Reviews and meets ongoing competency requirements of the role to maintain the skills, knowledge and abilities to perform, within scope, role specific functions.
- Regular attendance is required in order to carry out the essential functions of the position.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Basic computer skills, calculator, copy machine, cash register, other equipment as technology advances
