The City of Marinette Police Department is accepting applications to establish an Eligibility List for future Police Officer vacancies. We are seeking motivated, ethical, and community-focused individuals who are dedicated to protecting and serving our community.

Pay Range: $32.97 — $36.52 per hour. (Lateral entry candidates may be eligible for prior service credit in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement).
What You’ll Do
As a Police Officer, you’ll help safeguard the community by:
- Patrolling neighborhoods, businesses, and public areas
- Responding to emergency and non-emergency calls
- Preventing, detecting, and investigating criminal activity
- Enforcing Wisconsin laws and City ordinances
- Conducting traffic enforcement and crash investigations
- Interviewing victims, witnesses, and suspects
- Preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records
- Collecting and preserving evidence
- Making arrests and transporting prisoners when necessary
- Testifying in Municipal and Circuit Court
- Participating in community outreach and crime prevention programs
- Assisting during emergencies and special events
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess an Associate Degree or a minimum of 60 accredited semester credits (90 quarter credits)
- Be certified or certifiable through the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board
- Possess current CPR/First Aid certification at the time of hire
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Successfully complete all required background investigations and hiring requirements
Residency: Applicant shall maintain a bona fide residence within a thirty (30) mile radius of the jurisdictional boundary of the City of Marinette within six (6) months of hire.
