The Position
The City of Maple Grove's Gym Attendant will provide supervision of basketball activities in the gymnasium, maintain a safe and orderly environment, set up and taking down equipment as needed, and implement community center policies.
Hours: Wednesday & Friday 2:00-6:15 PM, Saturday 12:00 -6:45 PM, & Sunday 11:30 AM - 4:15 PM
- Supervises participants by monitoring and responding to behaviors and emergencies.
- Understand all community center gym schedules, policies, and procedures.
- Responsible for checking admissions wristbands to the gymnasium.
- Perform general cleaning and light maintenance in the gymnasium.
Knowledge of:
- Community center gym schedules, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to express rules and policies assertively.
- Ability to communicate with the public in an orderly and professional manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of experience that would likely provide the required knowledge is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Minimum:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to carry 40 pounds
- First-aid and CPR Certification
