Summary

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Includes the following however other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Nurture and care for children while parents/guardians are using the recreation center and/or greenway.
- Daily supervision of children ranging in ages of 3 months to 12 years old in the casual care nursery and youth wellness room.
- Communicates the rules concerning safety and conduct in the youth wellness room.
- Effectively discipline children who are misbehaving.
- Cleaning of the casual care nursery and youth wellness room areas.
- Reporting accidents promptly and handling the care for them until further help is available.
- Ensuring the children have good hygiene and changing diapers as necessary.
- Engage in positive interaction with children to build confidence and self-esteem.
- Comfort children when they are crying.
- Prepare bottles and feed children as necessary.
