Parks Maintenance Tech
This position is responsible for maintaining departmental ball fields, grounds, and facilities.
Major Duties:
Maintains city grounds and parks by cutting grass, raking grass and leaves, picking up trash.
Maintains ball fields by cutting grass and applying line to fields.
Maintains departmental buildings by cleaning and stocking restrooms.
Prepares facilities for events and games.
Assists with building and modifying structures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge required:
Knowledge of athletic field maintenance techniques.
Knowledge of general building and grounds maintenance.
Knowledge of the rules and regulations of various sports.
Skill in the use of such ground's maintenance equipment as a tractor, mower, weed trimmer, tiller, fertilizer spreader, and soil aerator.
Skill in verbal Communication and interpersonal relations.
Skill in General building and grounds maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculation.
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having a similar position for one to two years.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the state of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
