What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian Worker position at City of Lorain?
Responsibilities:
- Checks heating and air conditioning equipment for proper operation
-Makes minor repair to buildings; Building equipment and furniture; mows lawns and performs general yard work; cleans snow in winter months; ensures proper care in the use & maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
Experience:
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of industrial and commercial cleaning techniques
- Familiarity with floor care equipment such as buffers and carpet cleaners
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
