What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leader (Parks Maintenance) position at City of Little Rock?
JOB OBJECTIVE: To participate in and lead a small crew of workers to enhance area parks and minimize maintenance by utilizing chemical applications and other environmentally safe means.For a complete list of essential job functions please click HERE.
These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of high school or vocational technical course in landscaping or building trades, one (1) year of experience working with equipment and hand tools, one (1) year of experience in related landscaping and general maintenance work, and one (1) year of leadership experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position and must possess a valid Arkansas Class B (Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License within ninety (90) days of employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position
- Must possess Arkansas State Plant Board Non-Commercial Applicator Certificate, Class 9 Ornamental Tree and Turf Pest Control, OR Arkansas State Plant Board Commercial Applicator License, Category 4, Ornamental Tree and Turf Pest Control, within eighteen (18) months of employment and maintain certification/licensure for duration of employment in this position.
