Job Objective & Safety/Security Sensitive Designation
JOB OBJECTIVE: To operate heavy equipment in constructing, maintaining and repairing streets, ditches, alleys and other Public Works projects.
This position is designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
Essential Functions
Minimum Qualifications, Additional Requirements and Supervisory Responsibilities
- Must possess a valid Arkansas Class A (Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment; Must obtain a valid Arkansas Class A (Commercial Vehicle) Driver’s License without Automatic Transmission “E” or Tractor Trailer “O” restriction and must obtain an N endorsement within one hundred and twenty (120) days of employment and maintain licensure and endorsement for duration of employment in this position.
- Must complete the NeoGov leadership learning plan prior to the completion of the six month probationary period.

RETIREMENT

Non-uniform employees shall be required to participate immediately upon employment in the 2014 Defined Benefit Plan. Contributions are mandatory for both the employee and the ?City. Contribution rates are: Employee: 4.5% of salary Employer 9% of salary.
OTHER COMPENSATION
LONGEVITY PAY (provided to all employees)
Longevity pay will be paid at a rate of $4.00 (four dollars) for each year of service up to and including the fifth (5th) year. Longevity pay will be paid at a rate of $7.00 (seven dollars) per year for the sixth (6th) year of service and each additional year thereafter.
