The Health Department is seeking a dedicated professional to support the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program. This position is responsible for collecting and analyzing client health and nutrition data, assisting clients in improving their nutritional status, and providing nutrition education to individuals and groups. Work is performed in accordance with established WIC guidelines and department policies.
Essential Functions
Hours: 28 hours per week Permanent Position -Occasional evening hours may be required.

- Provide nutrition education and counseling to WIC participants
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure program compliance
- Provide breastfeeding support and education
- WIC program experience preferred
- Schedule arranged with supervisor; occasional evenings may be required
- This is a grant-funded position
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in nutrition or related field; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities, and skill.

Necessary Special Requirements
Current registration as a dietitian or ability to obtain registration within four months of hire.
