Job Description:
City of Life Ministries Inc. is a growing, multicultural ministry in need of a passionate and professional musician skilled in Bass. We’re searching for a gifted musician who values teamwork and understands the importance of leading others into meaningful and heartfelt worship.
Role Summary:
The Bass Player will assist in creating a powerful worship experience under the guidance of the Band Lead Musician and Director of Worship. This role involves collaborating with other musicians and vocalists to foster a vibrant, skillful, and Christ-centered worship culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead worship through skilled instrumental performance, contributing to Sunday morning services and other events, such as afternoon services, funerals, weddings, and special events.
- Prepare and perform both traditional and contemporary Gospel music, with an understanding of African American church worship.
- Attend all rehearsals and worship services punctually and professionally, including praise team practices, typically held Wednesdays
- Serve with a Christlike attitude and a heart for worship, consistently modeling a positive, encouraging demeanor.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in bass performance.
- Deep knowledge of traditional and contemporary Gospel music.
- 5 years of experience playing in churches is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and learn new material as needed.
- Reliable attendance and commitment to rehearsals, services, and special events.
- Willingness to assist vocally when necessary.
- Present and visible (in the sanctuary on post) at all Sunday Services
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10,000.00 - $15,000.00 per year
