Position Overview
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys physical work, problem-solving, and serving in a “jack-of-all-trades” capacity. You will support campus operations, event logistics, classroom transitions, minor maintenance, and ongoing school needs. Flexibility, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Campus Operations
- Set up and tear down classrooms, mobile classrooms, tutoring rooms, and various instructional spaces.
- Manage setups and tear downs school spaces as needed for events.
- Deliver curriculum materials, supplies, packages, and mail across campus; manage Mail Shed deliveries.
- Maintain campus cleanliness, including routine cleaning of the school bus.
- Monitor facility conditions and complete work orders for minor plumbing tasks (e.g., unclogging toilets, tightening fixtures).
- Address basic pest-related issues and assist with preventative steps.
- Support parking logistics by placing and removing cones, barricades, and signage.
Event Support
- Oversee full setup and teardown for all academy's events including:
- Graduations
- Christmas productions
- Award ceremonies
- Field Day
- Color Run
- Assemblies and special programs
- Assist school departments and ministries with staging, equipment movement, and event logistics.
- Prepare spaces according to event requirements and coordinate with leadership for all campus events.
Seasonal & Summer Facilities Projects
- Participate in seasonal campus improvement projects that enhance safety, functionality, and aesthetics.
- Assist with summer school facility upgrades, deep cleaning, classroom resets, and campus-wide improvements in preparation for the new school year.
- Support maintenance-related tasks and campus refresh projects during school breaks and summer months.
General Support
- Assist teachers, administrators, and departments with operational needs.
- Report facility issues promptly and assist with solutions.
- Support long-term campus improvement projects under the direction of the Facilities Director.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the school.
Qualifications
- Experience in facilities, maintenance, campus operations, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs, move equipment and furniture, and perform daily physical tasks.
- Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to take initiative.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working around children, staff, and families in a dynamic school setting.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Occasional evenings or weekends for major events
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
