Position: Seasonal Golf Maintenance Worker
Department: Golf Course
Supervisor: Golf Course Superintendent
FSLA: Part-Time Non-Exempt; seasonal work from April-September.

The Seasonal Golf Maintenance Worker does work of a manual nature, which does not require a high degree of manipulative skill or an acquired skill or previous experience in order to do an effective job. Work is generally performed under the immediate direction of the Golf Superintendent, but many types of work assigned may be very routine and repetitive in nature and after once learned can be carried on without difficulty and only under general supervision.
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
Maintains the golf course free from trash
Edging
Mowing grass
Trimming bushes and low branches of trees on fairways
Maintaining equipment clean
Performs custodial and maintenance duties in and around the buildings of the golf course, including painting and minor repairs
Performs other essential and marginal functions.
Effectively communicate with customers, general public, and co-workers
Work cooperatively with other City employees and the public.
Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
There is no experience or training requirement for this entry-level position.
Must be 16 years of age or older.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.
Lift arms above shoulder level.
Travel across rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces.
Move heavy objects (50 pounds or more) short distances (20 feet or less).
Move light objects (less than 20 pounds) long distances (more than 20 feet).
Bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time.

Duration of season is April-September
Work hours Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
