What are the responsibilities and job description for the SENIOR PARK MAINTENANCE- Temporary Seasonal position at City of Lawrence?
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license. The Senior Park Maintenance position will perform a wide variety of tasks in the maintenance of the City’s park system. This position requires additional experience or training in operating heavy equipment and can work by themselves. This position also requires the ability to operate a large tractor with specialized mowing equipment and perform light maintenance on equipment. Includes, litter pick-up, mowing, weed eating, ball diamond maintenance, raking, shoveling, cleaning, painting, and other basic grounds maintenance functions.
The job duration is approximately 10 months; Spring through late Fall. Some Summer only positions are available. Positions vary from 20 to 30 hours per week, with flexible schedules to cover all seven days. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform manual labor.
