Summary:
The Municipal Services & Operations Administration Technician will perform a variety of routine clerical tasks to support the divisions' needs. Responsibilities include maintaining files, routing incoming calls to the appropriate employees, entering data, and completing various basic clerical assignments. Additionally, this position will provide information and assistance regarding department policies and procedures. The incumbent will support administration, operations, service requests, reporting, data collection, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities for this position include assisting with customer inquiries, setting up work orders, providing financial support for invoices and purchase cards, and managing department records. Other duties involve answering phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries related to matters within or adjacent to the Management Services Organization (MSO), as well as offering cross-functional support to other City staff. The role requires delivering exceptional customer service to both the public and City personnel. Additionally, the position may require working overtime as needed.

- Assist with purchase orders, invoices, and ordering supplies
- Data input and tracking budget expenditures;
- Schedules calendar appointments, room reservations, etc.
- Answer public inquiries
- Processes agreements and applications
Qualifications:
Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade with two to four years clerical work experience. This position requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks, excellent phone skills, a personable attitude that is both team- and service-oriented. Must be familiar with modern office practices, work in a fast-paced environment, committed to continuous improvement, and view problems as opportunities rather than obstacles. This position requires knowledge of MS Office. Excel is preferred with a focus on spreadsheet management. This position requires a valid license. The successful candidate will also pass the background check, post-offer City physical, and a drug screen.
