Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Code Enforcement Officer located in Largo, FL. The role involves conducting property inspections to ensure compliance with city codes and ordinances, investigating complaints, and addressing land use or zoning violations. Additional responsibilities include issuing warnings or citations, reporting violations, and coordinating efforts to resolve compliance issues. The role also requires regular interaction with the public, property owners, and other stakeholders to provide education and maintain community standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Code Enforcement and knowledge of Land Use and zoning regulations
- Experience in Inspection and Law Enforcement practices
- Strong Customer Service skills, including effective communication and conflict resolution
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy in documentation
- Familiarity with municipal regulations and administrative procedures is beneficial
- A high school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in Code Enforcement are a plus
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors across various environments
