Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Pickleball Instructor to join our recreation team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching the game of pickleball and the ability to create a fun, engaging, and inclusive environment for players of all ages and skill levels.
Responsibilities
- Instruct participants in pickleball fundamentals, techniques, and strategies.
- Lead classes and clinics that encourage skill development, physical activity, and sportsmanship.
- Ensure participant safety and provide guidance on proper use of equipment.
- Adapt teaching style to meet the needs of beginner, intermediate, and advanced players.
- Promote a welcoming and enjoyable learning environment.
Schedule Needs
Currently, there is a strong demand for morning classes, particularly among adults and seniors. Looking ahead, we are eager to expand programming into the evening hours, with a focus on developing youth pickleball opportunities.
Pay Structure
Our compensation model is based on program participation. Instructors are paid 70% of the member rate collected from each participant. This structure ensures instructors are rewarded directly for the success and growth of their classes. This is a 1099 contracted position with the City of Largo.
