The City of Laramie is looking for motivated individuals who can work in a team and alone. Under general supervision, this individual will perform a variety of custodial duties to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of assigned rooms, buildings, and City facilities.

The City of Laramie is looking for motivated individuals who can work in a team and alone. Under general supervision, this individual will perform a variety of custodial duties to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of assigned rooms, buildings, and City facilities.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**
- Sweep, scrub, wax floors; vacuum and clean rugs and carpets; empty and clean waste receptacles.
- Wash and dust windows, walls, and blinds.
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs.
- Clean restrooms, toilets, sinks, and hard surfaces. Stock toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, hand sanitizers and other consumables.
- Unlock and lock entrances to buildings; check buildings for security.
- Inspect buildings for safety, fire, and sanitary hazards.
- Operate a variety of electrical cleaning equipment; maintain custodial equipment and supplies.
- Perform various tasks in moving or rearranging furniture, desks and other equipment; set up rooms for meetings.
- Answer general questions from the public and City staff.
- May assist in training less experienced staff.
- Perform related duties as required.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** (Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying):
- Knowledge and skills of custodial work is desirable.
- Ability to communicate well verbally and work in a dynamic environment.
- Able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds. Able to climb and work safely on ladders.
- First aid and CPR certification or the ability to complete training within a designated time line.
