The Position
Responsible for providing snacks and beverages to players on the course. Guests should receive professional, prompt and friendly service throughout their golf round.
This position is part-time, dependent on weather and customer demand.
Key Responsibilities
It must be recognized that all specific duties cannot be listed and that responsibilities will change accordingly as the need arises.
- Prepare the beverage cart at the beginning of your shift and as needed throughout your shift: load with ice, and maintain a selection of drinks and snacks.
- Operate the beverage cart on the golf course, ensuring timely service to golfers.
- Operate a radio to communicate with front desk and golf staff.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the beverage cart.
- Handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for restocking to the appropriate person.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and policies.
- Check expiration dates on food and beverage products.
- Engage with guests to enhance the overall experience at the golf course.
- Confirm cart is fully operational before starting rounds (charged, air in tires, etc.).
- Keep beverage cart clean and in good working order.
- Must have knowledge of proper golf course etiquette.
- Must be available to work on major holidays.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- OLCC serving permit
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent listening and comprehension skills
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and coordinate multiple tasks
- Ability to lift 35 lbs and bend while performing work duties
- Ability to perform tasks outdoors in hot temperatures
- Valid driver’s license
Supplemental Information
Compensation: $22 - $25 per hour. As a City employee, you are NOT able to accept tips.
