Description
Supervises department employees which involves such duties as instructing, assigning, reviewing work, maintaining standards, creating and implementing employee work plans, selecting new employees and conducting performance appraisals.
Maintains accurate preparation of records, reports and documentation.
Monitors cases for compliance with time and participation standard and eligibility requirements.
Ensures that all clients are being treated fairly and in accordance with department policies.
Conducts second party reviews for cases processed in Adult Medicaid.
Responsible measuring workloads and analysis of workflow standards. Performs other duties as trained and assigned.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and three years of experience as an Income Maintenance Casworker or Investigator, preferably with one year of Supervisory experience. Associate's Degree in Human Services Technology, Social Services, Paralegal, Technology, Criminal Justice, Business Administration or like field of study, with four years of experience in Income Maintenance as a Caseworker or Investigator, and one year of supervisory experience, preferred; or equivalent combination of training and experience. License/Credentials: Possession of a valid NC driver's license.

Petty Leave
Employees earn fourteen (14) hours per calendar year. May use in increments of 15 minutes. Leave is pro-rated based as of date of hire in the first calendar year of employment. Petty leave must be used within the calendar year.
Longevity Pay
The County offers longevity pay to employees with 5 years of continuous service.

- An Income Maintenance Supervisor II works under limited supervision, the position provides supervision, training, support and leadership to the income maintenance caseworkers in the Economic Services Unit. Within this position there is budget planning and unit budget oversight required.
