What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Shop Associate position at City of Lafayette Colorado?
Performs a variety of functions in relation to controlling the starting of the game for golf players, educating the public regarding golf etiquette, and routine course keeping.

TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE: Game of golf, the rules of golf, golf etiquette, and City departmental rules and regulations.
SKILL: Demonstrated skill in the operation of equipment necessary to perform the functions of the job.
ABILITY: Understand and carry out oral and written instructions; tactfully and consistently advise players of rules and regulations, and golf etiquette; maintain positive public relations at all times; function independently with minimal supervision; perform light physical labor; work weekends and holidays. Must have and understand basic computer skills.
TRAINING: Thorough knowledge of the game of golf preferred.
EXPERIENCE: No specific requirement, but prefer exposure to golf course environment, or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

- Assist in any phase of the clubhouse operation as required; i.e., daily housekeeping chores; answer phone calls and address customer needs.
- Deliver excellent customer service daily.
- Provide guidance and oversee work or personnel assigned to the area.
- Perform related work as required and assigned.
