Overview
The City of Kendrick is seeking a motivated. dependable, and energetic skilled maintenance worker to join our team. This is a full-time position responsible for maintaining the City's infrastructure, parks, and public facilities while providing excellent service to our community.
This position offers a variety of hands-on work, making every day different. The successful candidate will take pride in keeping our city safe, clean, and operating efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair of city streets and rights-of-way.
- Assist with operation and maintenance of the city's water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
- Maintain city parks, buildings, equipment, and public facilities.
- Operate and maintain a variety of vehicles, power tools, heavy equipment, and machinery.
- Perform snow removal, weed control, mowing, trimming, and other seasonal maintenance.
- Respond to emergency situations and assist with repairs as needed.
- Interact professionally and courteously with residents, contractors, and visitors.
- Complete other public works and maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in municipal maintenance, public works, construction, utilities, or a related field is preferred.
- Water and/or Wastewater Operator Certification is preferred but not required at the time of hire. Training and certification will be required after employment.
- Valid Idaho driver's license required.
- Ability to operate equipment safely and perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, problem-solving skills, and positive public relations skills.
