Love working with kids? Thrive outside? Want a summer job that’s really fun? Keene Parks and Recreation is hiring friendly, energetic, and responsible Camp Counselors to join our team this summer! This is more than a job opportunity - it’s a chance to build leadership skills, strengthen your resume, earn a paycheck, and make a lasting impact on local children and families.
We’re looking for candidates with experience working with children, staffing special events, creating arts and crafts, and leading sports and games. While knowledge of First Aid & CPR is recommended, excellent communication skills are required.
Duties will include, but are not limited to, supervising children who participate in our Summer Playground Program and Summer Middle School Pass: keeping them safe, leading daily activities and curriculum, taking attendance and completing incident reports when needed, communicating regularly with the Summer Leadership Team keeping, and organizing, maintaining, and cleaning camp spaces, supplies, and equipment.
Pay rates will range from $12- $15 per hour, depending on years of experience and duties assigned.
Hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, with overtime options available. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and applicants aged 18 and older are required to pass a Criminal Background Check. Candidates must work well in a team environment!
