Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare and distribute accounts payable checks, including school system payments.
• Help ensure timely and accurate payments across City departments.
• Manage City leases and handle related inquiries.
• Process bankruptcies and communicate updates to appropriate departments.
• Develop and monitor payment plans for residents and vendors.
• Prepare and balance the City Treasurer’s report.
• Process purchase requisitions and orders in support of the Purchasing Agent.
• Assist with property liability insurance claims involving the City.
• Keep the Assistant Finance Director informed of current developments.

Requirements include:

• A high school diploma with supplemental coursework in bookkeeping or accounting, plus 1 year experience with the preparation and maintenance of financial records; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office, spreadsheet and accounting software.

Pay and Benefits include:

• This position offers a pay rate range of $23.59- $29.40 per hour.
