JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the City Secretary, performs financial management work with emphasis on purchasing, budgeting, and accounting functions, utility billing, preparation of accounts payable, financial reports, and check reconciliation statements for the City Manager. May exercise oversight over a Utility Clerk(s) and a financial analyst

REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· Valid Texas motor vehicle operator’s license.
· Two years supervising financial management functions.
· Ability to earn Public Funds Investment Act Certification.
· Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO) certification or ability to become certified within five (5) years from the date of employment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, public or business administration, finance or related field is preferred, from an accredited university and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, finance, business, public administration or a related field with municipal government, non-profit or public sector experience highly desired.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
