The City of Jennings is accepting applications for the part-time position of a Facility Attendant with the Recreation Department. Duties will include routine clerical and secretarial work, answering the phones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, cashiering, data processing, and bookkeeping.
The Facility Attendant performs various administrative duties to support the assigned department(s). Responsibilities include receiving and screening visitors and telephone calls, and handling general inquiries. The attendant schedules/coordinates meetings, conferences, special events, appointments, and travel arrangements. The attendant maintains the assigned calendar(s) and establishes and maintains filing systems.
Qualifications: A High school diploma or equivalent is required. Post high school education and training are preferred, or two years of work experience demonstrating secretarial skills, including proficient use of office equipment, is required. Excellent attention to detail, communication, and grammar skills are required, along with the essential ability to function independently, professionally, and efficiently. Approximately 20-25 hours per week at $17.66 per hour.
