We are seeking a dedicated Streets & Sanitation Worker to join our team. Duties
- Collect and dispose of trash and debris from streets, parks, and public areas using appropriate equipment.
- Operate street cleaning machinery such as sweepers and pressure washers to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Perform industrial cleaning tasks including sanitation of public facilities, sidewalks, and other municipal properties.
- Assist with snow removal, leaf collection, and other seasonal maintenance activities as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas to identify sanitation issues or safety hazards.
- Maintain equipment by performing basic maintenance and reporting any repairs needed.
- Follow safety protocols during all sanitation activities to ensure personal safety and that of the community.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in custodial work, industrial cleaning, janitorial services, or related fields such as food processing or manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience with commercial cleaning or warehouse sanitation is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
