Facility Project Coordinator

- Plan, direct, and oversee small to medium sized construction, renovation, and maintenance projects for CoJ-owned facilities.
- Serve as a project manager which will include contract administration, quantity documentation, budgeting, estimating, scheduling, and conducting pre-construction and progress meetings for CoJ-owned facility projects.
- Coordinate, schedule, and oversee contractors installing, repairing, and maintaining major and minor CoJ facility components.
- Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and contracts with consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Perform technical quality assurance, conformance inspections, and quality control of construction plans, specifications, and remodeling projects.

What qualifications are necessary for the role?
To be successful and well prepared for this position, the minimum education and experience required includes:
- A bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management, architecture, engineering, building construction, construction administration, project management, or related field is required.
- A valid, state-issued driver’s license at time of hire is required

A combination of equivalent experience, education, or professional training that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the position as determined by the Human Resources Office may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.What is the typical schedule?
Typically, you will work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. However, at times, this position is expected to work additional hours to ensure projects and critical work assignments are completed.
What is the pay?
The starting annual salary for this position is $66,153 ($31.80 per hour); this is an exempt position. This position is also eligible for annual economic adjustments and performance-based adjustments, as approved by the City Council.
