Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of heavy machinery and a strong understanding of construction site operations. Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and concrete mixers on construction sites.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Safely transport materials using dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and front loader trucks.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans and meet deadlines.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of construction sites as needed.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation with a focus on construction environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to various types of machinery including Caterpillar equipment and farm machinery.
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) preferred for operating specific vehicles such as tankers and dump trucks.
- Familiarity with concrete mixer operations is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while following instructions from supervisors.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices on the job site.
