Jackson Firefighter Lateral Entry

THE JACKSON FIRE DEPARTMENT IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ITS LATERAL ENTRY PROGRAM

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

Firefighter I and Firefighter II certifications and at least 180 hours of Basic Firefighting Training through an accredited program.

STARTING SALARY

• Birth Certificate
• DD-214 (If applicable)
• Photo (Full face)
• Firefighter I and II Certificates

Requirements

• Entrance Exam (score must be at least 70)
• In-depth Background Investigation
• Physical Ability Test
• Physical Exam (must satisfactorily pass after offer of employment)
• Drug Screen (must satisfactorily pass after offer of employment)
• Treadmill Evaluation (must satisfactorily pass after offer of employment)
