ZOO GIFT SHOP CASHIER (FULL-TIME)
Duties: Under general supervision, Gift Shop Manager, the frontline attendant (cashier) is responsible for providing excellent customer service while handling admissions, memberships, and retail transactions at the zoo’s gift shop ticket booths. This role answer guest questions regarding zoo hours, exhibits, events, amenities and ensures guests have a positive first and last impression during their visit.
Minimum Training and Experience
Ability: To process ticket sales, memberships, and other transactions accurately using a point-of-sale (POS) system. Basic math skills. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked cashier station. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings. Ability to stoop, bend and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to remain on feet for period of time. Follow all zoo policies and procedures, including safety and emergency protocols.
