DUTIES
- Monitors pool activities and takes preventative actions to maintain the safety of the pool area by warning against unsafe practices
- Responds to water emergencies, rescues, and assists patrons in the water
- Provides basic first aid to swimmers as required
- Reports and completes incident and accident reports
- Instructs swimming lessons, completes and maintains swim lesson records, logs, and certificates
- Records attendance of all pre-registered participants
- Maintain the pool area, sweep, hose down deck and pool area, dispose of trash, dirt, leaves, and other debris
- Test pool for proper chemical and water balances, and maintain equipment and supplies for the pool
- Other job, department-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
