Overview
Established by the Indiana Constitution, the Marion County Clerk is the custodian of all court records, issues marriage licenses, and serves as the court’s fiscal agent and trustee of child support payments. The Election Board receives nominations and petitions for elections, as well prepares ballots, and maintains voting machines by cultivating a productive, collaborative, and compliant work environment for our workforce to meet the needs of the residents of Indianapolis and Marion County.
Requires extensive knowledge of and strict adherence to requirements and regulations related to the filing of legal documents and court proceedings; accessing court services; accessibility of court records, especially confidential records; and various fees and payment processes.
Position Responsibilities
- Receives and enters filings, correspondence, inquiries, transcripts, and other documents; and processes them in case management systems.
- Responsible for processing legal filings for multiple courts, timely and accurately.
- Sorts and relates documents in work queues.
- Complies with and processes court orders.
- Maintains accurate party information and contact information within case management database.
- Works cooperatively with judicial officers and staff, attorneys, and other public employees.

- Tasks require the ability to communicate orally
