Responsibilities:
- Conducting maintenance and repairs of the city’s stormwater system
- Cleaning and clearing stormwater channels, culverts, and ditches
- Performing regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them promptly
- Responding to drainage-related emergencies and coordinating with other city departments and contractors as needed
- Assisting in the construction of new stormwater infrastructure projects
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six (6) months of previous experience that demonstrates the ability to fulfill the physical requirements
- Able to obtain a CDL class B license within (12) twelve months of employment.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent equipment and trucks, plus paid training
- Certification up to $1,200 per year
- Up to $1,000 per year in tuition reimbursement
