Under general direction, performs technical, paraprofessional, and administrative support for the Planning Division, including research, analysis, and coordination of planning projects. Provides support to the Planning Commission and advisory committees, coordinates with City departments, assists the public with planning and zoning inquiries, and reviews applications for completeness and City compliance.

- High School diploma or GED required, with coursework in planning, geography, public administration, business, or a related field
- Associate’s degree desirable; Bachelor’s degree in planning, geography, or related field preferred
- Minimum three (3) years of related technical, administrative, or paraprofessional experience in planning, zoning, or community development
- Experience involving public contact, records management, and/or plan review
- Proficiency in word processing, current software programs, and transcription equipment required
- Local government agency experience highly desirable
