SUMMARY
Under direct supervision of the Director of Information Technology and General oversight from Help Desk Technician II, employee will serve as the first point of contact for City employees seeking technical assistance with computer systems, hardware, or software issues. Employee will also respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems, and determine and implement solutions.
Example of duties performed include:
- Provide technical assistance and support to City employees for issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
- Perform troubleshooting using different diagnostic techniques
- Work through the problem-solving process with end users, empowering them to do the same in the future
- Follow up with end users to ensure issue has been resolved.
- Monitor and maintain computer hardware and software components
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma plus any combination of training and experience equivalent to an associate’s degree in a technology related field.

Monday thru Friday; day hours
