Responsibilities
- Drive a transit bus
- Pick up and deliver passengers
- Collect fares
- Operate a bus on a daily schedule
- Report unusual traffic conditions, passenger emergencies, or other problems via two-way radio
- Operate a mobility device lift and secure mobility devices
- Obey all traffic laws and mandatory safety regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license required at time of application
- Ability to acquire CDL valid in Virginia by end of paid training
Availability
- Full-time positions require 5 days per week, primarily afternoons and evenings
- Part-time positions require 18 hours per week, with opportunities for additional shifts
