The GIS Technician - Addressing is a full-time position with benefits and a preferred hiring range of $24.41 - $26.85 per hour (equivalent to $50,772 - $55,848 annually); however, an exact salary will be dependent upon the selected candidate's qualifications/experience and in compliance with City policy.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to keep the city’s mapping, addressing, and property information accurate, reliable, and ready for daily operations, emergency response, and other public service needs. This position establishes addresses and tax parcel numbers, maintains GIS layers and related data, researches deeds and land records, and interprets architectural and engineering plans. Using GIS, CAD, GPS, and mobile data collection tools, you'll update maps, records, and charts, perform field assessments to verify mapped data information, conduct quality checks, and assist staff, property owners, and other stakeholders with GIS-related questions.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate or technical degree in geographic information systems, geography, engineering, or a related field and minimal experience in the use of computer-aided drafting, geographic information systems, and local government operations. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be used to meet this requirement. ArcGIS and AutoCAD training certifications preferred but not required for consideration.
- Valid driver's license.
- DMV record check;
- Education history/certification verification; and
- Criminal background check.
