The Creekside Maintenance Laborer
Performs a variety of tasks in connection with the operation of Creekside Community Center outdoor areas, baseball fields, and soccer fields.
Distinguishing Features of the Position
Requires good work ethic and good judgement. Parks Laborers are responsible for assisting the Maintenance Manager with any maintenance duties as assigned. An employee in this position will be engaged in outdoor maintenance around the Creekside Recreation Center, ball fields, and the surrounding grounds.
Examples of Work: (illustrative only)
1) Performs maintenance such as mowing, trimming shrubs, trees, and flowers, and maintaining fencing or other portions of the ball fields as necessary.
2) Operates equipment such as mowers, edgers, and trimmers. Services and cleans this equipment.
4) Helps as needed before, during, and after any events held at Parks Dept. facilities.
5) Picking up trash and emptying trash receptacles, including those in the parking lot, spectator areas, etc.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1) Knowledge of basic outdoor maintenance and the associated equipment.
2) Ability to apply yourself to learning new skills as needed.
4) Ability to get along well with the public and coworkers.
5) Good physical condition to be able to perform physical labor required by the job.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
