The Creekside Maintenance Leadman buildingsrforms a variety of tasks in connection with the operation of Creekside Community Center, the Brandon Burlsworth Youth Center, and pool facilities. Helps oversee related work operations and performs related work as required.
Distinguishing Features of the Position
Leadman duties involve good work skills, planning ability, and good judgement. Creekside Maintenance Leadman is responsible for assisting the Facility Manager in overall operations. An employee in this position will be engaged in maintenance, construction, and operations of Creekside, the Youth Center, and their surrounding grounds. **Evenings and weekends as needed. **
Examples of Work: (illustrative only)
1) Performs building maintenance for Creekside and Youth Center facilities indoors and outdoors (including lawn care, shrubs, trees, and flowers)
2) Understands use of cleaning supplies and equipment
3) Operates floor scrubbing machine, mowers, weedeaters, and other tools. Services and cleans this equipment.
4) Helps as needed during events held at Creekside and the Youth Center.
5) Operates and pursues knowledge of heating and cooling systems and their proper maintenance.
6) Cleans facilities including all restrooms, gyms, meeting rooms, and party rooms.
7) Care and maintenance of features like equipment in game rooms, the gyms’ floors, etc.
8) Picking up trash and emptying trash receptacles, including those in the parking lot and on sidewalks.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1) Knowledge of operations and procedures of Creekside Community Center and Youth Center, including the pools and aquatics buildings
2) Ability to understand work schedules and plans and coordinate Creekside and Youth Center maintenance work
3) Ability to apply yourself to learning any skills needed.
4) Ability to get along well with the public.
5) Good physical condition to be able to perform physical labor required by the job.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
Work Location: In person
