- Passing out score sheets to all coaches and collecting them after each game.
- Â Instructing coaches on how to fill out score sheets.Â
- Maintaining the official scorebook and ensuring accuracy.Â
- Keeping teams informed of scores at all times.Â
- Ensuring that all equipment is used properly and turned in as required.Â
- Calling all scores into local newspapers immediately following ball games.Â
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.Â
- Knowledge of sports games, their terminology, and the maintenance of scorebooks is preferred.Â
- Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of hire.Â
- Must successfully pass a background check related to this position prior to any offer of employment or promotion (18 and older).Â
- Requires shift work to include nights, weekends and holidays.Â
- The incumbent may be considered "essential personnel" during City emergency situations or at the direction of the City Manager which may include long hours and unusual schedules.
