Performs complex professional, technical, and administrative and engineering work for environmental, water, sewer, street, and other Public Works projects and programs ensuring technical competence and compliance with all current codes and criteria. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Work is performed under direction with considerable latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment. Seeks technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.

- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field; supplemented by five or more years’ civil engineering experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
- Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment.
- Must have sound knowledge of engineering design and construction management experience.
- Must have a valid Florida driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record throughout employment.
- In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential functions established in order to perform this job successfully.
Salary : $72,868 - $123,876
