Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration or related field; supplemented by five or more years’ of financial, governmental accounting and budget experience, including at least one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Munis experience and knowledge in governmental fund accounting and budgeting is preferred.
Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements), or obtain within one year of employment.
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.

***FUTURE ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT***
This role is currently housed within the CRA and supports CRA Budget & Finance functions. As the CRA approaches its anticipated sunset in FY27, the City intends for this position to transition to the Finance Department, supporting continuity and succession planning aligned with the retirement of key personnel. Following this transition, the position title is anticipated to be updated, consistent with the role’s responsibilities and organizational structure at that time. This role offers the opportunity for expanded training, responsibility growth, and upward progression over time.
