Level I - $39,083 - $63,835 starting up to $50,606 DOQ
Level II - $41,620 - $67,932 starting up to $53,851 DOQ

The Administrative Coordinator is a full-time position reporting to the Deputy Director for Planning and Zoning Administration and is responsible for advanced administrative duties. There is a high degree of responsibility and discretion required in this position. Excellent customer service skills and computer proficiency is required. The position serves as the primary support person for the department’s planning and zoning operations and must be capable of working independently and balancing competing demands and deadlines.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associates degree or college level courses in business management or related field preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in business or government office performing moderate to advanced administrative functions. Proficiency in Microsoft products or other computer-related software programs. A combination of experience and education may be considered.
License & Certification: A valid vehicle operator’s license with a satisfactory driving record in accordance with City Policy is required.
Essential Functions: The position provides office management and administrative support to the department, establishing a high standard of office efficiency and positive customer service environment in performing functions that include: serves as the front desk staff and assists walk-in customers; answers, screens and directs phone calls and messages; receives and responds to citizen inquiries and/or complaints; replies to emails received individually and to the department's general e-mail inbox; establishes and maintains accurate, up-to-date, and logical filing systems of required and/or appropriate records; Processes, routes and tracks applications and related materials for City zoning certificates, subdivision and development plans, and other applications in software system and calculate fees for same; Records minutes/notes for approximately 4 late afternoon/evening meetings per month with overtime/compensation time provided (3 at 4 or 4:30 pm; and 1 at 7 pm). Performs additional administrative functions as outline in the full job description and other duties as assigned.
