Adult Services Librarian

The Gretna Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic and community‑minded Adult Services Librarian who is passionate about connecting people with information, resources, and meaningful experiences. • Plans, coordinates, and oversees all services and programs for adults.
• Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the Adult Summer Reading Program including coordinating prizes and involvement incentives with local area businesses.
• Evaluates and Uses various resources for promoting activities for adults such as the Library's website, social media, in print as appropriate.
• Assists with library displays (planning and implementing); designs and displays signage to direct and inform patrons
• Responsible for aiding in the selection process in developing the Adult sections of the Library.
• Maintains the Adult collection in accordance with the Collection Development Policy, including the process of deselection.
• Works on inventory reports, cataloging reports, etc.
• Performs reader's advisory, specializing in recommending titles and resources for adults.
• Oversees and administers interlibrary loan services.
• Schedules and manages the meeting room calendar for outside groups and library programs. Maintains upto-date records as part of this process.
• Establishes and maintains positive relations with the general public, other employees, community groups, local businesses and other area libraries.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay: From $22.94 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
