The City of Greenville's Recreation and Parks department is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and dependable Water Aerobics Instructor to lead safe, engaging, and effective aquatic fitness classes at the Greenville Aquatic and Fitness Center. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming and supportive environment while providing clear instruction, motivating participants, and promoting overall health and wellness. The instructor will work with participants of varying ages and fitness levels, adapting exercises as needed to help participants achieve their fitness and wellness goals.

Requirements:
- Prior experience teaching aquatic fitness classes is preferred.
- Water Fitness Association certification and/or Group Fitness certification preferred.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred; applicants who are not currently certified must be able to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
- Experience working with older adults or senior populations is strongly preferred.

- demonstrate exercises and provide clear, easy-to-follow instructions;
- modify exercises to accommodate different fitness levels and abilities;
- maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive class environment;
- monitor participants and follow all facility safety and emergency procedures;
- provide encouragement and motivation throughout each class;
- maintain a professional and friendly relationship with participants;
- keep class equipment organized and report any safety or maintenance concerns;
- arrive prepared and on time for scheduled classes; and
- perform other duties as assigned.
