- Plan and deliver comprehensive and diverse recreation programming for all ages, abilities, and interests.

- Assist in leading and coordinating seasonal and/or temporary staff and volunteers, including training, work planning, organizing, and scheduling.

- Collaborate with outside nonprofit organizations to accomplish mission and goals.
|
- Perform minor maintenance duties.
|
- Maintain facilities and equipment in a clean, safe, and secure manner.
|
- Maintain order and safety in crowded and noisy environments.
|
- Administer first aid, CPR, and AED, as needed.
|
- Handle and balance of cash payments.
|
- Perform work as directed in an efficient, effective, safe, and timely manner.

- Respond appropriately to changing situations.

- Independently organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments.

- Demonstrate strong customer service skills and establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships.

- Learn and effectively use City recreation programming software.

- Use English effectively to communicate in person, over the telephone, and in writing.

- Speak effectively in public.

- Read, comprehend, and apply knowledge of rules, regulations and procedures as they relate to City recreational programs.

- Use, operate, and maintain a variety of operational, custodial, and audio-visual equipment.

- Drive and safely operate a City-provided commercial vehicle used to transport recreation participants.
|
- Operate general office equipment to include scanner, printer, copier, telephone, and computer with Microsoft Office Suite.
