Full Salary Range: $54,022, - $96,670. Annually** Position eligible for Signing Bonus.**Bilingual incentive pay up to $2,500 per year.You can learn more about the benefits that the City of Greensboro offers by visiting https://www.greensboro-nc.gov/departments/people-culture/benefits.Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm The Fire Protection Specialist position is responsible for conducting new construction plan reviews, and inspections to ensure compliance with applicable fire codes, building plans, and construction documentation examination. These positions also conduct site reviews to ensure compliance with state, and local national fire codes, ordinances, and regulations. Employees in these positions also educate the public regarding life safety matters and are required to participate in the community risk reduction program. Work is performed in accordance with established procedures and techniques directly related to the position; however, the employee in this position must exercise some independent judgment in resolving issues in the field. This job is Non-Exempt and is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
