Activities Director-Council on Aging Full Time, Benefited Position
Responsible for administrative, supervisory and social service work in
the coordination and provision of classes, programs, activities and
special events for the Greenfield Senior Center; all other work as
required that is logical to the position. Attend Council on Aging Board
meetings and other professional workshops and seminars as authorized or
directed by the Executive Director. Plan and coordinate projects and
programs with other groups and community agencies; and offer counseling
to senior citizens and their families by identifying appropriate
agencies and services to meet their routine and emergency needs.
Coordinate all activities of the Senior Center during and after regular
business hours; maintain records and files on activities and special
events; assists in the application and administration of grants for the
benefit of the Center or Council. Any combination of education and
experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and
abilities to perform all aspects of the position is qualifying. An
Associates Degree in Recreation, Leisure Services, Occupational Therapy,
gerontology or related field, Bachelor\'s Degree preferred; two years of
elder work or experience in an organized program as a teacher,
instructor, or counselor. Experience with MySeniorCenter-data management
system would be ideal. Must successfully pass CORI/ SORI checks; must
have a valid Class D Driver\'s license; must have an acceptable driving
record and be insurable under city\'s policy; must be CPR certified and
Serv Safe Certified or ability to obtain both; Group Fitness
certification is preferred. \$45,550.70 - \$58,308.90 may exceed hiring
