General Description
The City of Green Bay Department of Public Works (DPW) is seeking to establish an eligibility list for Truck Drivers to perform routine operation of all trucks in snow and ice control and various other public works activities. Ideal candidates will be self motivated and adaptable.Don't have a Commercial Driver's License? No problem! We can train you!
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Hours may vary by position and season. Summer Hours!!: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or Tuesday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Three day weekends during the summer!!
No residency requirement, however Public Works employees are required to respond to call-ins within 30 minutes.

Examples of Duties
- Operates all trucks in snow and ice control and various public works activities.
- Operates other equipment and heavy equipment as qualified and as directed.
- Reports all mechanical problems to Equipment Repair Section immediately.
- Responsible for and performs daily maintenance on equipment, including refueling, greasing, washing, and minor repairs. Makes changeovers on equipment as required.
- Hauls snow from Parking Utility roofs and streets. Hauls material to public works projects.
- Trains other employees as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in related field desirable.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License with Class A and Class N endorsements, or the ability to obtain the endorsements within 30 days, and a good driving record.
