What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Maintenance Employee (Parks) position at City of Green Bay?
Do you enjoy the beauty and amenities our City Parks have to offer? Now you can spend time in those parks working outside and being part of a dynamic and fun team! We are seeking seasonal maintenance employees to assist our park maintenance staff. On the job training will be provided to assist you in obtaining the necessary skills. We are offering (2) shifts, Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm with occasional weekends, or Monday through Friday 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm with occasional weekends.With Training this position shall assist Maintenance Staff with:
Mowing, string trimming, and blowing grass clippings off sidewalks and parking lots
Maintaining athletic fields
Opening and closing park restroom facilities
Emptying garbage cans and pickup up litter
Daily preparation of Bay Beach Amusement Park
Performing daily routine maintenance on equipment
Performing other duties as assignedHigh School diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years of age by first day of employment
Valid Wisconsin driver's license and good driving record.
A combination of equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.Skill and ability in safely operating vehicles and equipment
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to work the required hours of the position.
Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds
Frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, squatting, crouching and kneeling
Occasional sitting, climbing pushing and pulling
Ability to work in varied environmental conditions
